Proof of a Loving, Caring, and Merciful God

I have been waiting for this album since Weightless. This is the happiest moment of my life; more so than the birth of my 2 beautiful children and my marriage to a supermodel. Simply seeing this album available has put me into a state of ecstatic nirvana, and I don't plan on leaving for a few decades.

Album Review

Talent at its finest; first album with acoustic drums. Fractal Audio AXE FX II sounds so professional for the guitar tones. Musicians unite for the best digital/metal album to date by these guys. Good collaboration in the production process with other musicians as well...

Extraordinary

The first album is a modern masterpiece, while the second is outstanding from a musical theory point of view. Because of this I was skeptical if those two albums could actually be surpassed, or even matched. It seems though, that Tosin and pals cannot actually run out of ideas or be uninspired. This album easily contends with the first two. It has everything! Lots of amazing jazzy pieces like "Another Year", "Air Chrysalis", and "The Future That Awaited Me". to latin style music in the case of "Para Mexer". From technical grooves in "Ka$cade" and "The Woven Web", to crazy expiremental tracks like "Mind-Spun". And you can't forget the brutal blow-your-head-off riffs like in "Nephele". The production and mix on this album is outstanding! Everything is so clear, even the drums are perfect finally! Even the artwork is amazing. I am truly blown away by this album, I'm sure that it'll become a classic with time. I hope these guys keep coming out with beautiful and inspiring music for years to come!

After playing for a few years in the "straight" music world as a member of the uniquely virtuosic Washington, D.C.-based metalcore band Reflux, seven- and eight-string guitar wizard Tosin Abasi was asked to record a solo album by the group's then record label, Prosthetic Records, once the group disbanded. At first, Abasi declined on the grounds that to do so would be "egotistical," but he eventually relented and founded a new entity named Animals as Leaders (inspired by Daniel Quinn's 1992 anthropocentric...
