Album Review

This sophomore album from English stadium drum'n'bass producer Nick Douwma is the follow-up to his 2009 eponymous debut effort. The album sees him focus more on the dubstep side of his sound which he hinted at in his debut, and features guest appearances by a number of high-profile vocalists on its five singles, notably Kele Okereke (Bloc Party) on "Turn It Around" and Alex Clare on the trancey Top Ten hit "Endorphins.", Rovi

Don't expect bombastic drum and bass, but the album is a nice blend of EDM style. The songs performed by the vocalists and the overall production is exceptional. Sub Focus has some of the cleanest production I have ever heard from a producer/dj. The musicianship is better on this album than his debut. Though some songs pale in comparison to others, there are some amazing moments to enjoy in this. The most important feature of this album are the songs. The vocals are very catchy. Composition work is very thick and full. It's very radio friendly and offers a unique experience most EDM producers don't have the talent or capacity to provide.

Ou loveit

I love it so much!

Every sound and synth was very well-done. You can tell that Sub Focus put a lot of time into these songs, because they're all so perfect.

One of his demos eventually made its way into the hands of Andy C., the co-founder of Ram Records, one of the U.K.'s premier...
