I've missed this sound...

Ben Cooper has created more music that's just as haunting as the first listen to Ghost.

breath of fresh air with a familiar voice

i think it's really cool to hear people out there like Ben Cooper making music like this. for one, you can check Ben Cooper's Radical Face website for one of the most personal artist-to-fan messaging there is out there: Ben's letting everyone know where he's at in his music and his personal life, and he's also letting us all know he appreciates our support; the support we give by listening to his music.

at the forefront, i freaking love his idea of 'percussion' actually being percussion (i.e.: not a full drum kit), which really comes out on this little EP. this was very present on "Ghost" as well, but I think this EP shows a little more evolution of that idea.

sure, "welcome home" is 'technically' off of "Ghost"... but it's such a great song it's due for another listen (though I don't really notice any major difference from this EP's version...).

aside from the reprises and acoustic versions of earlier material, the 3 newer songs here are AMAZING and simply show how Ben is evolving as a musician without giving up what made Radical Face, well, Radical Face.

any previous fans: it's an immediate buy.

The perfect addition to Ghost. I love it.
