touching you, touching me

This is an album that hold a very special place in my heart. I, like some of you, have memories of Neil singing these songs back when I was a teenager. I would sing along, imagining myself in front of an audience. Neil had a magical presence for me then. He still has one now. I guess part of me wonders why I didn't try to become a singer. I allways thought that I was good enough, and god knows that I wanted it enough. I wanted to sing the way Neil did, from the heart, songs like "Brooklyn Roads",he made me feel like his words were my own.I know that most people know him as the guy who sings "Sweet Carloline" and that it has become the signature song for the Boston Red Sox, but Neil is so much more than that for me. This album is the reason why I am still a fan. I only wish that he would re=record these songs with the benifit of age, WOW, wouldn't that be something for you and me to hear!I

And the Singer Sings His Song..... beautifully done

This is not my favorite album, but I LOVE this song!

Great album

I have this on vinyl, and all the songs are great.

But he soon branched out into recording and performing, and by the early '70s was topping the charts with the self-written singles "Cracklin' Rosie" and "Song Sung Blue."...
