One of the better bands that ever existed

Hands down, The Rave Ups are one of the better bands that ever existed. All it takes is a listen to the tracks on "Town and Country" to realize that. Each song is unique and just plain fun to listen to. It’s a shame that they fell victim to a bumbling record industry after they’d achieved a modicum of fame from their appearance in “Pretty in Pink.” I would have loved to have seen what this kind of talent would have done next. Thankfully, nowadays independent artists have more avenues available to them to reach a wider audience without needing the financial backing of a large record label. I hear Jimmer Podrasky and Tommy Blatnik have joined forces again, perhaps this new atmosphere will introduce new fans to The Rave Ups and introduce new material – until then I will continue to wear out my copy of "Town and Country" and hope.

Thanks for more great 80's

Finally one more great 80's band is here on itunes! Buy it now, it includes some songs from Pretty In Pink that are not on the soundtrack too.

At last! Thank you iTunes!

This album has been out of print for some time now - and it still stands as one of the first, and best, alt-country albums. Thank you iTunes for adding it to the store.
