Riot Live ROCKS!

I hate to dis-agree with the other review, but I believe they are talking about the Riot Live album with Rhett Forester (R.I.P). A great singer in his own right, but really didn’t hold a candle, in my opinion to Guy Sperranza (R.I.P.) From start to finish-this album ROCKS! It captures what the Riot live experience was prior to their “Fire Down Under” release. Most of these songs are from “Rock City” and one thing that album missed was in the studio mix-the raw essence of Riot. However the spark behind the “Fire”, how to start the “Fire Down Under” is all in this live album. It is a must have, for any self proclaimed rocker or metal head.

this band is awsome but.....

Don't get me wrong, this band is one of the top on my list, but why doesn't iTunes post the album version of Narita? If your reading this whoever runs itunes, do that. please.

Riot Live

I have "Riot Live" on vinyl from Elektra Records (catalog number 0-67969) and it has 6 songs. Side A is "Hard Lovin' Man", "Showdown" and "Loved By You". Side B is "Loanshark", "Restless Breed" and "Swords And Tequilla". It doesn't list band members and has no pictures either. The copyright year is 1982 and on the front cover it also states: Limited Edition - Manufacturer Suggested List Price $4.98.

The long-lived New York-based heavy metal band Riot was formed in 1976 by guitarist/songwriter Mark Reale, who recruited vocalist Guy Speranza, guitarist L.A. Kouvaris, bassist Jimmy Iommi, and drummer Peter Bitelli. After debuting in 1977 with Rock City, Kouvaris was replaced by guitarist Rick Ventura, and the group returned in 1979 with Narita; Iommi and Bitelli were the next to exit, and with the recruitment of bassist Kip Leming and drummer Sandy Slavin, the classic Riot lineup was in place....
