Customer Reviews

This album is called "Travelers & Thieves"

The bonus CD the other reviewer mentioned was called "On Tour Forever" and contained 4 live songs (Onslaught, Crystal Flame, Optmistic Thought, and Mountain Cry w/Carlos Santana). T&T was BT's second CD and it was a magical CD to come out in in the early 90's. This was the beginning when BT. Phish, Spin Doctors, Widespread Panic, etc., were all bringing rock n roll out of the dark ages and into new frontiers. I saw these guys a bunch of times during this period and they just flat out ROCKED. In fact, there's one single harmonica note in the middle of Ivory Tusk that, if it don't make your big toe shoot up into your boot, nothing will!

All I can say is WOW!!!

Blues Traveler is one of those bands that gives me something I can't get from other bands; peace of mind. When John Popper starts playin' his harmonica, I tell you, it takes me back to that special place where I don't have to worry about anything! The song "Optimistic Thought" is way up there in my top songs list. I love that song. I love this album. I love this band!

Overlooked Greatness

Sadly everyone knows of 4 yet with things like I have my Momments nad Optimistic thought this album is probably one of there best. Then they move onto songs with Bagheera and Mountian Cry. Makes you relise that Four was no fluke they were great long before they were famous.

Signed to A&M, they released their first album, Blues Traveler, in May 1990 and followed it with Travelers & Thieves in September 1991.
