Can't Forget That Voice

I remember listening to Courtney during her Flagstaff days when she played at locations such as the Mogollon Brewery. Even back then her stunning looks and stirring voice made an impression - you just knew she would hit it big someday. This is a great album which showcases Courtney's awesome voice and eclectic influences. I hope on her next album the producers try not to polish the songs too much and let more of her raw energy (and attitude) come through.

enjoyable listen

this is the kind of cd that every time you listen to it, you get something else out of it. a little bit sheryl crow, a little bit jewel. some of my faves are lose my head, can't behave, time for goodbye, and can you sleep. don't really care for hanalei road. but, looking forward to her next cd.

Excellently Crafted Album, BUT...

I enjoyed this album immensely. A perfect fusion of pop, country, and even some ukelele thrown in! The album is worth it for the first eight songs. HOWEVER, my biggest negative is with Track 10 - "Love Song (For Everyone)". This album is slightly marred by this cheesy, "I love you, World" tune. Bleccch... Otherwise, a great album from a fantastic artist! Highlights: Can't Behave, Time for Goodbye, Traveling Light.
