Album Review

Traveling Through was the last record Dick Curless ever made, and it's a winner. Recorded in 1994, in Brookfield, MA, the album is a rootsy, stripped-down collection of country, blues and gospel tunes. Throughout the album, Curless is in fine voice, wrenching out emotion from each of the songs.

Absolutely Can't Miss

Whether you truly like Country or Country & Western doesn't really matter when it comes to this effort. The true grit and emotion of Curless' voice is unbelievable. The musicianship displayed on this record is second to none as well. If you happen to be a fan of the genres mentioned above, DO NOT PASS THIS ONE BY.

Dick Curless - Traveling Through

Dick Curless' Traveling Through is very much a "must have". I can only say to itunes, why do you not offer more from Dick's catalog? He has some awesome music to offer a whole new generation of music lovers. I was hoping to find an old gem to get on my ipod. It looks like I must head out to Bull Moose Music to find one.

Great Final Bow

This is one of my favorite and dare I say strongest Dick Curless albums. Maybe it was because he knew the clock was running out, but Mr. Curless really turns in an album full of wonderful, emotional and heart-felt music. A must-have for all Curless fans as well as fans of traditional (ok, "real") country music.
