Simply Inspirational

I saw Sean play with the 2001 Winter Solstace tour when it came through Pennsylvania. I was only 11 at the time, and I was captivated by the prowess and fluidity with which he played. As I can recall, Sean played two selections from the "Trio of One" album, and they sounded absolutely incredible live. I purchased the CD after the show and was lucky enough to get him to autograph it. At that time, I was just beginning to become interested in guitar and was intent on starting lessons. I told him this, and as an eleven-year-old kid, I'm sure he thought it was just a phase I was going through...everyone wants to play guitar at some point in their life. But he wrote something on the CD case that totally changed the way I felt about guitar, and music in general. He wrote "play from your heart". From that moment on, I couldn't get enough of the guitar, or of listening to his CD. Now, eight years later, I'm still "playing from the heart" and enjoying the many moods of Sean exhibited on this album. The varying new age/flamenco styles from song to song give a great amount of depth to the album. From the bright and exhilarating "Road Dance" to the warm and sombre "Con Amor", there's something to be appreciated by everyone on "Trio of One". I give the CD five stars, with the hopes that anyone who listens to it will "llisten from the heart" and allow Sean's music to move them the same way it has moved me.
