The cover art says it all. Buy this!

There aren't too many bands carrying the torch of power metal any longer. If you like Saxon, Accept, Helloween, 3 Inches of Blood, Black Sabbath, or Storm Warrior, you should buy this to support these guys. This record is full of giant riffs. The lead singer does not have the chops of some of the bands mentioned above, but he hangs in there and gives it all hes got.

This is the first album I've heard from this band. I was told to check out "The Hunt" and "Hammer Of The North", but couldn't resist buying the new one instead! I'm a very big fan of European folk metal, and the folky chill out riffs on the two instrumental tracks are what initially drew me to this album, but I don't stop there! The rest of the songs are riff madness! The songs are well-written, the riffs are catchy, and each track seems to go well when paired with the rest of the tracks on the album! Excellent but, I don't see how any fan of metal or hard rock would be disappointed with this purchase! Buy it!

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

By 1999, new drummer Trisse had joined up and a couple of well-received three-song demos convinced the band to go pro and adopt a new name in the year 2000. Their choice, Grand Magus, was actually much more fitting with their sonic identity, which consisted of both '70s hard rock and stoner rock...
