kind of a tune up to filmore shows

if you own the filmore shows it's still worth a listen as the band gets it's trademark live sound polished and the mountian jam with johnny winter alone is worth a listen...

This One Is a Keeper

I attended this concert back in 1970 and this CD is unbelievable. Listening to it makes me feel as thought I have gone back in time. All of the songs are great but Barry Oakley’s Hoochie Coochie Man is magnificent. This one is a keeper as I have been listening to it constantly since I discovered it.

The brothers on their home turf

They could drive to this show being close to 40 miles from their home base and it is said Duane was almost late because of traffic. Great recording that I wish was released in its entirety prior. It catches the band opening and closing the festival when they were young and on fire. I love this set on the first show and unlike the Fillmore it is seamless. No real surprises if you know all of the work however the brothers rarely played songs the same way twice so you get a nice” Dreams” and “Elizabeth reed “and Johnny winter sitting on Mountain Jam disc2.
