Fantabulous!

Just from hearing the previews, I could tell that this is a great band. Their beats are catchy and the singing captivates you. Amazing album!

Who writes these things?

I've been a fan of Koufax for some time now. Social Life and It Had to Do With Love are also excellent albums to get into, and are maybe even more accessible, but it's all just good, fun music. I don't get the reviewers obsession with lumping them in with the Walkmen, or that they bare an "eery resemblance" to them. Perhaps in the sense that they are both quality bands, that play instruments, and the members are living humans. I, personally, would lump them into a group like the Wilcos, or the midwestern piano-rock that delves into witty lyrics or sardonic wit. You know, that VAST category. Anyhow, they aren't Walkmen clones like this joker is talking about. Just buy it and see for yourself.

quite interesting

this band is a mix of Hot Hot Heat and some other alternative/rock/indie type bands ...if you like HHH and that kind of music then maybe koufax is for you! i liked it.

The band relied heavily on the sound of piano and synthesizer, from not just keyboardist Sean Grogan, but drummer Dave Shettler...
