A New Religion

Your Vegas is a free-falling majesty of ambience and sound. Like coldplay, their skilled in creating a wall of sound, but unlike coldplay they don't have unnecessary frills to distract them from their leadsinder. Their leadsinger, Coyle Girelli, is the magnetic hypnotic voice of the spirit, charasmatic and entertaining to watch. Their obviously very influenced by club music in the lower register. The rythm section is incredibly tight, and their drummer is energetic and passionate. Their lead guitar player, Mat Steel, doesn't get in the way of thier frontman, nor does he hide his role in the music. Jon Langford doesn't escape his duty as a bass player to lay down the muscle of the music. The band, in general, is very friendly and entertaining, especially Jon who got talk to us after the show and tell us of his strange journey from Northern Britian to traveling the country side of the U.S.

officially the best debut album ever!

i first heard of them while they were touring with the bravery... they blew me away and i immediately went home and bought their E.P. i have been waiting for this album and it was totally worth the wait! i encourage everyone to buy this album and give these guys a listen! they have so much talent and are gonna have a lot of success! Your Vegas = the delightful, pure music refreshment my ears needed to hear.

Finally finally finally!

I grabbed their EP when it released on iTunes a few months ago and have been anxiously awaiting this ever since. Not everything on this CD was as great as their EP, but it would be hard to top. They like to mix things up a bit, which I like, so not a whole lot sounds alike. I am impressed with what they've done on the album and am looking forward to their next release. Top 5 to pick up: 1) Birds of Paradise - Originally I did not like this from the preview, but after listening to it, it's definitely the best song on the album. 2) The Way the War Was Won: This was not my favorite originally, but it grew and grew on me. It's a power ballad, and usually I'm not a fan of those kinds of songs, but this one just screams perfection. 3) It Makes My Heart Break - Yeeeesssss. The lyrics to this song are even more amazing than the music itself. 4) Troubled Times: My original favorite. It's such an upbeat track and always fun to listen to. 5) In My Head: Good message, good vocals, awesome all around. In closing, I would just like to say that it may be cheaper for you to buy the EP for 0.99 and then buy a couple more songs off of the album if you would rather do it that way. Either way, you should definitely check out Your Vegas and see what they've got. The video for The Way the War Was Won is on youtube as well.

Alternative pop/rock outfit Your Vegas were formed by four friends in Otley, a small town outside Leeds, U.K., in 2004.
