Album Review

Let It Bee is a simple album about moons, barbarians, love, and babies, performed with the high-spirited glow that one's little sister would enjoy. Think the art school camp of Tom Tom Club or the gooey dignity of ABBA and the Primitives in a sparser context. But if sisters Tracey Byrn and Melissa Brooke Belland could make one feel like they're in desperate need of swinging upside down from a tree with their summery and preternaturally linked harmonies in the sportive "Don't Call Me Baby" or the imaginative "I Say Nothing" single, there's a scarcity of humor or imagination to every last "na na."

Sounds Great 20 Yrs Later

Loved this album my senior year of HS! Was reminded of it while listening to Taylor Swift with my kids...sounds like Taylor was influenced by the Voice? In any case- great album- a rarity where every song is enjoyable.Lots of Fun, if you are a fan of the B52's, you'll love these ladies too!

Hell yeah!

My older sis turned me on to this band when I was 12 and I was HOOKED! Fun and catchy, silly and raunchy! Tried to get my friends into it but I thikn they were into New Kids on the Block and junk. Thank GAWD for cool older sisters!

After appearing on Bill Drummond's 1987 solo LP...
