This is THE BEST ALBUM of 1995 by a male solo artist! No previous effort of Mr. D'arby's career soars higher than this recording. Yes, he brought us Sign Your Name and Wishing Well in 1987. However, VIBRATOR is one of those albums that was perfectly crafted for the time of it's release. The entire flow of this album captures the essence of what music was all about in 1995. I was really surprised that it wasn't one of the TOP 10 ALBUMS of the Year! So pick up this Angel sent gift from the Heavens and hear what you've been seeking.

Simply incredible

You want soul. You want funky-ness. You want grooves. You want quiet interludes and soaring vocals. You want pop-worthiness. It's all here. And each song strikes a different mood. My favorite inter-song transition is from the sadness of "If You Go Before Me" to the serious groove of "Surrender".

I don't like comparisons, but I have a suspicion that this is the album that people always hoped "Prince" would make.

A top ten album of 1995. A must have and a must-hear. Listen to it with headphones to catch all of the subleties.
