Customer Reviews

Outstanding, intelligent and entertaining

Adam Levy of "The Honeydogs" has a deep catalog of songs that are smart, deeply affecting and a joy to listen to. This effort is no exception, and yet it manages to surprise and delight in a new way.

Suffused with strings, the album reminds me of the music of Michael Penn, Randy Newman and Sam Phillips (particularly "Martinis and Bikinis") at different points.

I bought it without hearing a single song after seeing on a music blog that Levy had released something new, and the first listen made the hair on my arms stand up. The second listen, immediately after the first, allowed me to catch up with Levy's Elvis-Costello-worthy wordplay.

Like Levy's 2012 "Honeydogs" release "What Comes After", this album is something special.

This is a spectacular album. I thought that the strings were a great aspect of the band. I also loved Adam Levy's lyrics.

Love it

A hipster friend of mine who happens to have an impeccable taste in music recommended this band to me, and I have to say I throughly enjoy them and their work. I listen to all the songs often (my personal favorite is turn of the century recycling blues). I can't wait until their next album and will most certainly buy it as well. I would recommend this band and album to my friends because And the Professors are a fantastic up and coming new band that I'm sure will have a bright future.
