Laughing at Luck

Had country music not been distracted by a shiny new nickel back in the nineties, perhaps this is where it would have ended up. It's rock and roll, it's country, it's stuck in my head and I haven't even had my coffee yet. Going into the fall, I couldn't think of a better soundtrack.
Favorite tracks so far:
When it all comes down
3 am
Impatient love
Come Summer

Love it!

I am not particularly a big fan of country music especially today's version of storytelling and it's lyrics
"Back when a screw was a screw
The wind was all that blew
And when you said 'I'm down with that'
Well it meant you had the flu"

What?! One can assume that it took about five different individuals to write this one song or perhaps one of these individuals brought in their six year old and said "express yourself" in that case I salute you kid!

So imagine my surprise and delight upon hearing this brother and sister duo. Their music is not quite country and not quite pop but a lovely mixture of both that just seems to work! Brother Willie wrote all of the songs and lyrically he undoubtedly has the talent. He conveys sentiments into a song that is both intelligent and beautiful.

Sister Erin's voice is a force to be reckoned with and difficult to forget, the kind of voice you could only wish you possessed even if it is only used under the shower.

I highly recommend this album and look forward to hearing more of The Breedings music! Keep em coming!

Don't walk run to get a hold of this..,

Not since Allison Krause have I been so in awe. It's like finding a rare gem. It solid, full, unique and just all around special. The level of talent they have does not come along often in life.
