Customer Reviews

Sounds like originals, not redux.

The practice of assembling a soundtrack CD around an action star in order to collect more royalties for soundtrack artists has always seemed a little sketchy to me. On the one hand, soundtrack artists need to eat, and who really wants to buy a whole album just to have the main theme from one excellent score? On the other hand, who really wants to hear a medley from Kindergarden Cop? Die-hard Arnold fans may want to buy this whole album (and then get it autographed, bronzed, and framed), but for most, the main reasons to be interested in this compilation are the pieces from the first two Terminator films. Unlike many existing film-score compilations, these don't appear to be one-man re-hashings on a synthesizer or orchestral re-inerpretations. As a longtime fan of the series, I can assure you that the Terminator tracks in this collection are note-for-note the themes that were heard in the films, right down to the now archetypal industrial booms and clangs (the latter produced by composer Brad Fiedel using a kitchen skillet). If you've been despairing of finding the originals, look no futher. I cannot vouch for the other tracks, not being a big fan of Conan, Twins, or most of the others, but given that the Terminator tracks are the authentic film originals, I suspect the rest may be as well. In any case, thanks to the wonder of iTunes, you only have to buy the tracks you want--although "The Orgy" from Conan the Barbarian might make an interesting addition to a Valentine's mix (insert shudder of revulsion here).

I Like terminator music on this ablum only

I love the Terminator Main Title The Terminator the best!!!!!

What up with the cost?

so, why is the album only $3.99 when each song is $0.99? shouldn't the songs cost less seperately?
