Perfect for Broadway and A cappella Fans

Wow! Truth in advertising! An album of famous Broadway tunes -all done with Twist! Every song has incredible harmonies and all but one have sick beatboxing too. The chords (or reharms, as the kids say) are really cool! Very unexpected, more contemporary. And the leads are hot -a perfect blend of pop rock and Broadway belters. If you want to know what comes next after groups like Pentatonix and Straight No Chaser, and movies like Pitch Perfect, you found it; Blue Jupiter is the answer!

O. M. G.

This is, by far, the BEST a cappella album I've heard in a long time! Their amazing harmonies and incredibly full sound make you forget there's only 4 people... Cuz they're singing their faces off! The different arrangements and magical moments gave me chills, and I could happily listen to them all day. If you have any interest in a cappella, intricate harmonies, or sick beatboxing, you HAVE to buy this album!

About Blue Jupiter

An a cappella four-piece from N.Y.C., Blue Jupiter puts a contemporary spin on classic rock and R&B, show tunes, and original songs with arrangements that incorporate elements of dance-pop and funk. They were formed in 2001 by Diana Preisler, tenor Chris Chatham, baritone and instrument mimic Jonathan Minkoff, and one-man rhythm section Marty Gasper. The group made their recording debut in 2002 with the self-released Ear Candy, a mix of original tunes and rock-era classics like "Stand by Me" and "Hallelujah." The holiday album Scattered Flurries followed a year later. In the meantime, they participated in a variety a cappella competitions and toured North America and Asia; they rose in prominence by winning an Oreo jingle contest hosted by American Idol's Randy Jackson. National radio ads featuring the singing group began airing in 2005. Also in 2005, they issued their first live album, Live in New York City.

Over the course of the next decade, Blue Jupiter continued a rigorous touring schedule which included stops at festivals, casinos, on cruises, and for musical outreach programs ranging from elementary schools to college campuses. They found an international television audience in 2015 when Preisler became a regular on the Lifetime reality show Pitch Slapped, about competitive high school a cappella. With Jeff Washburn having replaced Chatham as tenor, Blue Jupiter returned to the studio for Twisted Broadway, Vol. 1. A set of reinterpretations of Broadway classics, it was released by Broadway Records in 2017. ~ Marcy Donelson
