iTunes Review

R&B stars now consider Brandy a classic voice in the same way that performers of Brandy’s generation revered Whitney Houston's performances classic. The title of Two Eleven refers to the date of Houston’s passing, which is also Brandy’s birthday. It's representative not only of the cyclical nature of R&B music but of the qualities the two shared: specifically, self-assurance. Brandy no longer needs to compete with the newest young singing sensations, freeing her to make an album like Two Eleven, which focuses almost solely on collaborations with rap producers. Brandy brought out the hypnotic, sensual aspects of productions by Bangladesh, Jim Jonsin, and Mike WiLL Made It, most of whom are better known for working with Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane than with female singers. The album displays an attention to peculiar sound design surely influenced by Brandy’s mentor Timbaland. At the same time, songs like “Wildest Dreams” and “Without You” are open fields, where Brandy's voice is allowed to fly high. It’s a voice that has become a certified symbol of class and quality within the field of modern soul music.

Excellent work

I've been a fan of Brandy since she made her debut back in my high school days. With that being said I must admit I'm shocked that I love this CD. I haven't liked a CD of hers like this since Aphrodisiac. She definitely put it down and I'm so happy it's not pop but true R n B. Put it down and Let me go are my least favorites. My faves are Without you, Slower, and Nothing is too late. Keep doing your thang Brandy!

Love

I've always loved Brandy voice but I feel like her label needs to promote her album more.

R&B Album of the Year

I've had this album on repeat for days...Brandy is back!! The album flows really well and the production is great. Theres a great mixture of ballads and straight hiphop/r&b I love it. Cant get 'wildest dreams' song outta my head. Good job Brandy

Whether she was singing pop-friendly urban soul or acting in her own family-oriented sitcom, Brandy's winningly wholesome persona helped catapult her to stardom during her teenage years. She scored the longest-running number one female duet in chart history (teamed with Monica on "The Boy Is Mine"), a testament to her mainstream appeal, and she spent several years as the title character on Moesha, the top-rated series on the fledgling UPN network during the late '90s. As she grew older, her music...
