British Against Me!

There is much more than just 2 sticks and 6 strings to this album... there are a pair of lungs pushing out the most wonderfully raw lyrics that I have heard in years. These guys sound a lot like Against Me!'s early works (that's a good thing). I have a feeling that when I write my best of 2009, these guys will be right at the top. Bravo guys, come tour the states so I can drink a beer with you.

Apologies, I Have None were on the cusp of the resurgence of the U.K. pop-punk scene fueled by the likes of You Me at Six and Kids in Glass Houses when they were formed in 2008 by long-term friends Dan Bond (guitar, vocals) and Josh McKenzie (drums, guitar, vocals). Drawing influence from American outfits such as the Gaslight Anthem and Against Me!, their earlier work combined acoustic guitars with electric, and they home-recorded their first demo, Two Sticks and Six Strings, in 2009.
