Uncanny Recreation of British Beat Music

If you're a British Invasion fan, you'll love this exquisitely obsessive band. They sound like a combination of the Swinging Blue Jeans and the Fourmost, playing their hearts out for working class kids some Northern dance club, right on the cusp of Beatlemania. They really get it right. This is a band that might have alternated with the Beatles the Star Club in Hamburg -- and beat the pants off them. I can't emphasize too strongly how authentic these guys are. They never take it too far. They don't introduce anachronisms. They stay on message, and really deliver. Since this is a live album, it is not really the Kaiser's best, or the best introduction to their world. (They do a lot of covers here, but the high points of their other albums are the originals -- which are few and far between, but absolutely pitch-perfect examples of nascent Merseybeat.) In any case, the energy here is terrific. You'll wish you were there.

what about the beatles???

i luv how u guys try to offer other versions of beatle's songs(ex. dizzy miss lizzy). i know u are in a fight w/ the other company, but how about trying to listen to the famous words of john lennon and give peace a chance. ps. the beatles would be a big seller.

Consisting of vocalist and guitarist...
