Best of all his albums! You get upbeat tracks, mellow tracks and even a true salsa track by two of Puerto Rico's best salsa vocalist Gilberto Santa Rosa and Tony Vega.

Truely an upbeat gift!

Dave Valentine's legacy will always be that vocalese style of blowing and whistling his solos, he has such fun on songs like "Sanjuanero" that you immediately know why this music is not for couch potatoes. The enigmatic title "Ball Players" is now one of my "classics." I am no fan of the vocals here, but the title track is superb and worth the price of admission. A gorgeous collection of instrumentals.
