Editors’ Notes

No Doubt decamped to Jamaica for 2001’s Rock Steady, a tribute to the California band’s love for reggae. Dancehall legends Bounty Killer and Lady Saw sprinkle “Hey Baby” and “Underneath It All,” respectively, with raw energy. But the band steers clear of reggae mimicry. While the album’s foundation is its Jamaican feel, they welcome a range of flavors with the New Wave sunshine of “Don’t Let Me Down,” the space-age disco of “Making Out,” and the slinky, mercurial “Waiting Room,” which they co-wrote with Prince.

LOVE THIS

I love this, I used to listen to this when I was 6. I remember everything!

L O V E!!

This album is just like a serious blast from the past. One of the best No Doubt albums, they seriously can do no wrong (except for the 2012 album) but Rock Steady is definitely that ska pop electro No doubt sound that I love!
