Acoustic music played to perfection

In a world where substance is lost in the lyrical content of song, I find it absolutely refreshing to know that good storytellers still exist. "Broken Highway/Broken Home" was the working title of a song that later became "A Trip To Omaha" by the time the studio version came out. It will take you back to your childhood. You will remember riding in a car with your folks, cold air hitting your face as you try to keep warm by folding your arms inside your shirt while your face sticks to the leather interior of the back seat, leaving your face red and numb . . not many writers will take you back there! Also, the track "Another Good Man" will have you in tears as Brian takes you inside the head of a man that is on his death bed in a hospital, waiting for the curtain to fall on life. On top of all that, he plays guitar and sings so well that it will make you forget it's just one guy with a guitar. . the music of BVA will move you so much that you will actually be proud to be a fan of it!

Great album from an underrated songwriter

I was at this show and it was, in a word, 'spectacular'. Great little venue (Schuba's) does justice to the dolcet tones of BVA. Buy this album. It sounds like God's will. A total ear-gasm that will leave you gasping for air and questioning why you didn't dig this cat earlier. Search him out and go see him live for yourself. At the end of the show, I dare you not to stand up and start a slow clap.

Brian is an artist and true musician. You won't be disappointed!
