great band awesome album yet

Worst sound ever.

I have been such a huge fan of the Eyes since 05' and I was so excited when they said this new album would be a throw back to Blessed Be. But as I've sat here and listened to what should have been a masterpiece yet again, I found myself cringing at Jyrki's voice. It's so high and strained, the lyrics are stale & the sound is all the same.

I would throw money at the Eyes when they put anything out, but I think for once I'll save my money and go buy the New Beyoncé album instead.

About The 69 Eyes

The 69 Eyes, a very dramatic goth metal band, formed in the early '90s in Helsinki. A quartet influenced by Motörhead, the Stooges, the Dead Boys, and the Doors, as well as movies like The Crow, Lost Boys, and The Matrix, they released several albums throughout the '90s and early 2000s. They first went gold in their native Finland with 2000's "Gothic Girl" single, and from then on their popularity increased. An anthology titled Framed in Blood: The Very Blessed of 69 Eyes was released in 2003 and initiated another phase for the band. They released another full-length album, Devils, in 2005 with its sequel, Angels, following in 2007. Hollywood Kills: Live at the Whiskey A Go Go arrived a year later, and 2009 saw the release of Back in Blood and the LP's single "Dead Girls Are Easy." Their 2012 album X featured a guest appearance from tattoo artist and model Kat Von D, and in 2013, they kicked off a three-year break with the release of the compilation The Best of Helsinki Vampires. In 2016, they returned with the single "Jet Fighter Plane" and the album Universal Monsters. ~ Andy Kellman
