Freddie Returns

Freddie Hubbard returns to the recording scene after far too long an abscence.Miles Davis once said every musician should get down on his knees and thank God for Duke Ellington. I say every trumpet player should thank God for Freddie The Great! Don't forget that Freddie is also a tremendous composer with many of his songs being played by Jazz musicians everywhere. Freddie plays mainly flugelhorn here and his band ,not credited in typical iTunes fashion are excellent partners in this very welcome CD.
