About Zooey

A duo formed by musicians Matthieu Beck and Marie Merlet, Zooey specialize in a chillout version of indie pop tinged with the harmonic flavor of Burt Bacharach. Their debut EP, Travelin' Light with Zooey, appeared in 2010 on the Recorder label and included a cover of Pavement's appropriately ambling "Father to a Sister of Thought." They followed it up with a second four-track EP, Time to Meet Outside, in 2011. Zooey signed with Wonderfulsound for their full-length debut, The Drifters, released in 2017. It put more emphasis on beats while retaining its laid-back character.
