As usual... don't listen to the bad reviews.
As usual with tribute albums like these, there's bound to be people that are such thoughtless, elitist snobs that they just don't "get it" and leave rather pathetic, negative, hateful reviews. And by "it" I mean, the very concept of a tribute album in the first place. Either you get people yammering on their overly negative, unnessessarily harsh and unintelligent screaming in all caps, or people that obviously don't understand the concept of a tribute album in the first place. This is for people that DO understand the idea of a tribute album and are interested in one. Not for anyone else. The point here that they willingly miss, is that... of course the REAL album is available for purchase. This isn't the real album. It's a tribute. Simple to understand, right? You'd be surprised how many people are unable to understand something so easy, though. Anyway, as far as tribute albums go there are good ones and not-so-good ones. Don't let the reviews fool you. Listen to the samples and you'll see that actually these songs have been covered pretty well actually. So if you're in to that sort of thing or not so ignorant as to not even remotely understand what a "Tribute album" is, then you might want to take a listen and decide if this is for you. The covers do sound tasteful enough and of course, it's not an easy task to cover such timeless songs. So do your part to show them a little respect. Especially if you can't do a better tribute album yourself. As far as tribute albums to classic essential must-have albums go, this one is quite competetant and worth the download. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to get that, or to leave a review. But not spouting ignorant, hateful, ridiculous, embarassing and unfair reviews becuase you don't "get it" would help.
Pink Box is better
This is one of the better Floyd tributes. If you like these, buy Pink Box instead. The songs are mostly the same (although iTunes lists the artists differently, they are the same song...don't be tricked!) and there are more of them on Pink Box.
If you Liked "Back Against the Wall" You'll like this
For anyone who listened to and liked The Wall tribute album "Back Against the Wall" done by many of the same preformers appearing on this album I would concider buying this. It is not as close to the origional as BATW was but still a strong tribute to this classic album.
