Solid Debut

I had initially heard of Enemy on the "SAW" soundtrack. They had a song called action, also featured here, that is on the soundtrack, but isn't in the movie from what I can tell... Anyways, I bought a copy of this at the electronics store with the blue and yellow sign, and it's been a pretty solid purchase. Kinda like the Cure, Helmet, Failure and something I can't put my finger on in a blender. While the main guy in this band has played in Failure, A Perfect Circle and Queens of the Stone Age, I definately think that there isn't much influence of those bands on this record. Aside from the segues or whatever they are, there's 13 really solid songs here. Hopefully they tour on this, because the atmospheric guitars and thunderous drums probably sound HUGE live.

This record has quickly become one of my recent favorites. There are some solid songs on here. Definitely worth checking out. Listening to these songs from a guitarist's perspective, I find it to be quite entertaining. The guitar work that Troy has done here is not quite like anything else out there at the moment. You could call it similar to other records that Troy has been a part of, but I feel that it stands alone as an excellent release. If you are reading this, you owe it to yourself to take a listen.

I like their sound, but they are a little soft for me.

Born and raised in Coventry, lead singer and guitarist Tom Clarke, bassist Andy Hopkins, and drummer Liam Watts were only 16 years old when they decided to pool their talents and form a band (though Clarke had started learning...
