Album Review

Good combo date from a veteran drummer with substantial swing and big band credentials. Bellson's recent records adhere to established musical values, yet seem to have a freshness that escapes some of the recent traditional dates. Marvin Stamm and Derek Smith are examples of critically unheralded players who seldom fail to elevate a session.
