Classic Cook-ing!

Jesse Cook fans will want to add this album to their collection. I just heard Jesse perform several of these live and bought the CD immediately afterwards. The entire album is wonderful. Some have said that Jesse's music isn't classic flamenco guitar and that may be true. I'm not enough of a music buff to know. What I DO know though, is that he is a truly amazing artist. Before seeing him live, I wondered how anyone could play the way he does. Now that I've seen him play (from 10ft away), I'm still not sure I understand how he does it -- I heard a lot more notes than I could see. Awesome!

Superb as usual

Jesse Cook is a rare talent whose genius is not well-recognized enough. His passion and playfulness, his breadth of ability, his sheer virtuosity -- which is astonishing and brilliant -- all qualify him as a great artist. There are truly delightful original pieces on each of his CDs, and this newest is no exception. "Alone" in particular is heart-meltingly beautiful. And he is lots of fun to see in live performance.

Classic Cook!

Cook cooks again! If you love Jesse's music, you'll love this album.
