Overall Great Album!

I'd been waiting months for this album!!! And it was totally worth it... The Pom's did a great job putting this together. The recording is sleek and has a great echo... "Anywhere You Go" is my fav track so far and "50's" is really great too... I am now hoping there will be some b-sides released too, like "Thigh-High" or "Morocco Girl"
My advise about the album: Get it! Gonna go see them in Denton, TX 2010... (This band is amazing live!)

The pomegranates are a delight

Look, this band is a positive-vibed band who wrote the catchiest song in the last decade called "Everybody ,Come Outside!" and that's not all...they are fun to see live and their albums make you happy that you have the sense of hearing. They are that good. The new album is great. Plus, there is actually something good right now hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio. Hey , I can knock the place, I live there. These guys make it more liveable by making music this beautiful.

I will see them on 24 November 2010 at the Southgate House. Even though that venue has changed for the worse and gotten way heavier and uncool, the show will be great despite the sheep-biting toad lickers who run the place.

Get the album.

Pomegranates hail from Cincinnati, OH, where drummer Jacob Merritt, guitarist Isaac Karns, and vocalist/guitarist Joey Cook launched the pop-based indie rock band in 2006. Taking influence from early Modest Mouse and Wolf Parade, the musicians honed their craft and issued the Two Eyes EP in June 2007. Bassist Josh Kufeldt joined the following year, and Pomegranates released their full-length debut, Everything Is Alive, that May. After sharing stages with the likes of Javelins, Islands, and Headlights,...
