Released to coincide with the tenth anniversary of his death in 2011, Eternel is a comprehensive retrospective of the 40-year career of the legendary French singer/songwriter known as Monsieur 100,000 Volts, Gilbert Bécaud. The two-CD 45-track collection includes the massive hits "Nathalie" and "Et Maintentant," the latter of which is one of the biggest-selling singles in French history, several tracks later recorded in English by other artists such as "Je T'appartiens" (the Everly Brothers' "Let It Be Me"), "Le Jour Ou la Pluie Viendra" (Jane Morgan's "The Day the Rains Came), and a duet with his daughter Emily ("La Fille au Tableau"). ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi
