Customer Reviews

Phenomenal. Henderson is stellar!

If you like his hard rocking fusion style and tremolo filled guitar lines with all kinds of interesting harmonic ideas you will love this! Nice mix of of harder tunes and jazzier swing tunes.

Thrilling...

Scott is one of the most exciting electric guitarists on the planet...yes, he is a guitarist's guitarist, and a fusion player in the truest sense of the term: rock, blues, jazz, country, eastern folk melodies- he can play it all...but what is exceptional in his music is that he manages to sound completely like Scott Henderson in everything he does. He has a clear voice on his instrument and always maintains a lovely musicality in his playing, no matter how far out he travels...This album may be his best yet. Bravo!

Wonderful!

It’s tempting to say that Henderson’s full range of tones and techniques is on display here, but anyone who’s familiar with his playing over the years knows that’d be a mistake, as he’s truly a bottomless well of talent and technique. That said, the range of styles and the sophistication of the compositions here is breathtaking, even by Scott’s high standards.

Take the mastery of tone and blend of tenderness and savage attack of Jeff Beck, throw in the technical capability of a Steve Vai and the jazz chops and instincts of a John Scofield and channel it all through a Buddy Guy rootedness in and love for the blues and you have some idea of the unique talent of Scott Henderson. Don’t miss this release or anything else you can find by this wonderful, unique voice on the electric guitar.
