Album Review

It's rather difficult to stand out from the massive pack of punk-pop bands that has sprung up over the course of the 1990s, but thanks to Cinder Block's feminist consciousness and powerful presence, Tilt manages to rise above the clichés of their chosen style on Viewers Like You, their third album for Fat Wreck Chords. The songs are generally hooky and well-played, proving that the band's reunion was a worthwhile one.

Berkeley, CA-area punk band Tilt were formed in the early '90s, featuring vocalist/songwriter Cinder Block (a rare female performer in the male-dominated punk-pop field), guitarist Jeffrey Bischoff (also Cinder's husband), bassist Pete Rypins, and drummer J.
