Something about flowers.

Violens is like your favorite band that ceased all action in the 70s or 80s or 90s, and whose music you wish there was more of to listen to every day. Isn't it a shame, you say. Such a talent, lamented with a hint of nostalgia. Well, the good news is: there's no wait for them to reunite at the festivals because they are here in this very moment, poised on the brink of something pretty remarkable. I saw the Violens live last fall and I've been in love ever since! It's maybe the second time I've ever bought an opening band's EP album on the spot. Their songs are nostalgic and catchy and I can't wait to hear more. If you have a chance to see them live, don't miss out!

With a sound influenced by such disparate elements as Zombies-style psych-pop, shoegaze, post-punk, and Miami freestyle, Violens released their self-titled EP on the Static...
