Pay No Attention to the Other Review on here...

This album is more of what you'd expect from Jens Gad, great beats, and a very sensual sound. If you liked the other Achillea, or Le Spa Sonique pick this one up! Whoever wrote the other review obviously hadn't listened to the CD else they'd know that this IS Jens Gad.

I Love It!!

This was my first introduction to the world of Achillea and I fell in love! Every song on the album is beautifully composed and flows together seamlessly. The seductive lyrics will send you on a journey to the beautiful Spanish island of Ibiza. After hearing this album, I had to purchase Nine Worlds, Achillea's previous album, and I can't wait to hear more!

Hmm...

This album is quite different from The Nine Worlds. Nine Worlds focused mainly on New Age and electronica sounds, however, there seems to be a bit of Pop and Latino mixed into some of these songs. Fear not, though: there is plenty of electronic mixed in, such as in El Alma Herida and Amor - Parte I. A few of the songs, towards the end of the album, are not quite as gentle as most of the songs in the Nine Worlds, such as Amor - Parte II and Amadas Estrellas. I was the one who wrote the Artisans Rejoice review on the Nine Worlds, and I think that this album can make good studio music as well. The songs don't flow together quite as well as in the Nine Worlds, but they can still stimulate the imagination. All the lyrics seem to be in Spanish, so if you are worried about being distracted by the lyrics, you have nothing to fear unless you are fluent in Spanish. About purchasing the songs: If you are diehard Achillea fan, feel free to purchase the entire album at once. However, if you are in any way doubtful, do what SoftEdge said and purchase them one by one (it shouldn't cost you too much more, like 10 cents). I was satisfied, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt with 4 stars, but the Nine Worlds is impossible to duplicate. Both have their ups and downs, it's all a matter of personal taste and preference.

Biography

Genre: Electronic

Years Active: '00s

Achillea combine bluesy guitar, deep molasses grooves, and passionate vocals that form a rich tapestry of Nordic atmospheres. Formed by fellow Danes Jens Gad and Helene Horlyck, Achillea base their songs on archaic poems and mythology. Gad, who contributed to Enigma's 1991 global smash "Sadness," builds the music around Horlyck's classically trained voice, resulting in a unique sound that's equal parts precision and spontaneity. Together they...
