a mix of everything

this album mixes traditional son Jarocho music from Veracruz, MX with Stevie Wonder-esque organs, corridos, political songs, and a singer's voice that is hard to top. This band is a must see live. Very professional and captivating. Quetzal is the band of the future.

I saw them live this summer in connecticut and they were amazing. Their music is electric and it just makes you want to dance and sing along I really like it. They're nice people too

Great Album....

Like all of the great musical bands, this album exemplifies how Quetzal's sound continues to evolve and mature...this album is filled with a mixture of different musical styles, from folk-rock, to straight-ahead rock, blues, son jarocho, afro-cuban, funk and groove to name a few...time will reveal how truly talented musicians they are, and how commited they are to their music and their 20 to 30 years, when all of the trendy bands have come and gone, Quetzal's music will remain just as fresh and relevant as the day it was created...a must for any serious music fan.
