Qwel is a lyrical genius. He weaves is words together effortlessly, painting compositions of memories, wisdom, and the struggles of humanity. Maker is a master of immersing the listener into a musical journey. I don't know how else to put it. Enough rambling, the album is ridiculously fresh. Don't sleep on this. Buy it and thank me later.

Real Talk

I stumble across a lot of new hip hop on itunes, and when I read a lot reviews I come across this phrase far too often : "This is the Album of the year". Sometimes I'll buy an album based on a few 30 second samplings and wind up disappointed, wheras what was briefly fresh and original wound up monotonous and standard fare. Five star reviews abound, given away mindlessly to the weeks hottest release... Yes, underground hip hop has the potential to bore and repeat itself as well. This is not the case with the new Qwel & Maker LP. It boasts champion lyricism reminiscent of Elzhi & Blu, with production that is unparalleled by ANY ANY ANY release in recent memory. Album of the year? So far, without a doubt.

Owl is another banger!!!

Yooooo Qwelly and Maker constantly produce the greatest of albums...Qwelly's lyrics are raw!!! Maker's beats are the illest...They keep on evolving and truly bring real hip hop for all the real hip hop heads out there...I for one give this album 2 thumbs up!!!
