Album Review

New York indie rock veterans Nada Surf mark their 20th year in existence with the release of The Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy, their seventh studio album. Recorded with a view to re-creating their energy and sound from live shows, The Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy has a more raucous sound than 2010’s If I Had a Hi-Fi and features “When I Was Young.”

Customer Reviews

Simply Terrific

Nada Surf records yet another consistently winning album. I've never seen a band have the resiliency that these guys have had over the years.

Outstanding!!

Another review used the word "resilience" as a description. Indeed!! This is their best stuff yet. I really enjoyed their album "Lucky" but I've purchased more form the one. Highlights: Clear eye clouded mind, Looking Through, the Moon is calling, and my personal favorite (although it takes awhile with a tremendous buildup) is When I was Young. Great job Nada Surf. Keep 'em coming.

After Lorca spent some time abroad in the late '80s, the two reunited after graduation to form Because Because...
