How Wonderfully Strange

Great melodies with German beer hall and 40's musicals sensibilities. Strange but wonderful to listen to.

Excellent - Get this album!

This is just fantastic... Very cool - get the other tracks too - they are just as good. There is no getting away from the fact that the (absolutely gorgeous) singer is like a much better Bjork...


Better not listen to any of these tracks unless you plan on buying them all! This new British band is great and their music will pull you in and won't let you go. Wish that iTunes had the remix track of March of Dawn tho.

Inspired by marching bands, big bands, and fairgrounds, baroque pop collective the Mummers were formed in 2006 by indie vocalist Raissa Khan-Panni, guitarist Paul Sandrone, and orchestral composer Mark Horwood. Raissa, a classical music graduate from Bristol University, released three albums (Sleeping Bugs, Meantime, and Believer) in the late noughties to critical acclaim, but little sales.
