iTunes Review

U2 reunited here with Eno and Daniel Lanois, the production team that had helped shape them into epochal legends in the '80s. The results are immediately heralded by the return of Edge's ringing guitar tones on the transcendent international hit "It's a Beautiful Day," yet the album is also expansive enough to incorporate the more recent rave textures of "Elevation" and gospel-tinged "Stuck in a Moment."

6 Days Later

6 Days after its release date, my wife died. I picked up this album a few weeks later, having loved U2 since Unforgettable Fire. The words spoke volumes, and still do, of my happy and sad thoughts. Thank you, U2, for reminding me the world can be a wonderful, if terrifying place.

I'm apologizing in advance for rambling...

Ok being a teen most music we're suppose to listen to is cruddy new bands that evidently I stayed as far away from music as possiable, until I heard beautiful changed me I had to listen to it a thousand times, memorize all the words, understand it completley and know everything about U2 from then on. I feel such a deep connection to so many of these songs on this album that it really does make it my favorite album (sorry achtung baby). Anyhoo now I'm an official U2 fanatic, well I haven't gone to a concert yet I guess...but anyway U2 songs are so deep and meaningful that I just love them so much I don't even know what to do! Oh well thats a good thing I think... I love U2 from the very center and soul of me and anyone who doesn't like them well...stinks and has no taste in music at all. Long story short buy this album. I wish I would have known about them got me out of what I thought was a tough time. Well thats about as deep I'm ever going to get in a review.

A pure album that is amazing and graceful on every level

This is one of U2's best albums. I love the song's Beautiful Day and Walk On and Kite and When I look at the World. Every Song is worth noting and should listened to time and time again. From the amazing guitar notes of The edge to the smooth sounds of Adam Clayton's bass to the Electrifying Drums of Larry Mullen Jr. to the steady yet soothing vocals of Bono this Album is extremly well balanced and get's a top notch rating from me. I never give anything 5 stars. So you should buy this one for you will enjoy it.

Through a combination of zealous righteousness and post-punk experimentalism, U2 became one of the most popular rock & roll bands in the world -- equally known for their sweeping sound as for their grandiose statements about politics and religion. The Edge provided the group with a signature sound by creating sweeping sonic landscapes with his heavily processed, echoed guitars. Though the Edge's style wasn't conventional, the rhythm section of Larry Mullen, Jr. and Adam Clayton played the songs...
