Album Review

Recorded in 1973, Live in Montreux features Fats Domino running through all of his greatest hits — "Blueberry Hill," "Ain't That A Shame," "I'm Walking," and several others. Domino is in good spirits and his band is competent, but they deliver no real sparks. It's an enjoyable live album, but it offers nothing out of the ordinary, so only dedicated fans need apply.

Customer Reviews

Fats is where it's at!

Live albums are difficult to pull off successfully. Fats & crew prove they've got what it takes to make the show happen. Live At Montreux captures the essence of these great musicians at their best. All his great tunes are here with the precision of a studio recording but played with the energy of this great live performance. I think everyone will enjoy these classics!
