Love "The Night." It's insightful and sincere. The lyrics are un-cliche--it requires you to listen, as it's genuine sentiment you can relate to, written in an original way. It's quite a contrast from the dirty guitar that opens the CD, which knocks you out and makes you check the liner notes to see if she's the one playing (she is). This album also features what seems to have become her signature--wicked vocals like Siren calls at the end of each track--the kind of sound that make people drop whatever they've got in their hands and go, "Who is that?" All in all, a worthwhile album that showcases a range of skill and exquisite talent.
