Heavier version of some 80's bubblegum rock

Pretty good if you like a grittier version of some of Bon Jovi's tunes. The John Corabi cover of "Born to Be My Baby" is outstanding, as is Coury's "Have a Nice Day" and Steve Rachelle's "In and Out of Love." These guys are hardly "unknowns" to anybody who really knows anything about this type of music. You have Coury (CInderella), Corabi (Motley Crue, Union Station, The Scream), Rachelle (Tuff), etc., to mention just a few. I doubt you will hear better on Kareoke night unless 1) you have a tin ear; or 2) it's Kereoke night on the Sunset Strip and all the guys from the 80's are having a reunion. Good album.

what the hell is that??? why do these people have to mess up jovi songs?

Re-hash of an earlier tribute.

All of the songs were previously released by Deadline/Cleopatra in 2001 under the name 'Covered Dead or Alive' with the exception of the first two tracks which are newly recorded. It is a little ironic that the song the title of the record is based off of is not given tribute.

If you like hearing Bon Jovi tunes with a harder edge, then this is for you.
