15 Songs, 53 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

George Ezra writes simple, hooky songs in the tradition of ’60s folk and sings with a sand-and-honey voice inspired by Howlin’ Wolf. He's lyrically fired up by travel away from his native UK (from “Barcelona” to “Budapest”), and he’s well versed in the roots of modern music (witness the rockabilly guitar to “Listen to the Man”). “Cassy O’” is a bluegrass stomp, but like all of Ezra’s songs, it’s meticulously arranged so that instruments appear, contribute, and depart, leaving space for that voice to do its stuff.

I love the song, not the quality...

Just through a quick listen through decent headphones showed me that the iTunes download version of “Budapest” has a lot of distortion in it that is not meant to go with the track. I downloaded the track from another site and distortion was not a problem at all. The song is awesome, I love it, but if you want to download it, don’t go with iTunes.

Amazing Album...HORRIBLE QUALITY

I'm not sure how this is possible, but in (take Budapest for example) the lyrics, "For you,
You, I’d leave it all" you can CLEARLY hear distortion on the second "you." Another example can be heard all over the track "Listen to the man".

Sincerely, a sad Audiophile

This man is amazing

I listened to this album about a billion times already because it was released in the UK. George has one of the best voices I've ever heard and this is one of the best albums ever, at least in my opinion.
