Raw, but not the best

Just throwing this out there to fans of death metal and black metal: bad production doesn't connotate "raw", it connotates bad production. However, considering that these were EPs, and it was the best equipment a clueless Brazilian quartet could afford at the time, listeners need to focus on the music. It's funny to listen to Max Cavalera on Roots and his Soulfly albums after hearing this. Mind you, I love his work and as an aspiring musician, he is a role model to me. You gotta start somewhere. Sepultura in their prime (with Max) would become one of the most momumental bands in metal, sporting the popular thrash style. This here, raw death metal. In my opinion, not as good as Beneath the Remains and Arise, but still a pretty good start all things considered. I just wish the origional lineup was together.

2nd best album

All you people calling urselves sepultura fans and not enjoying this album can go listen to alternative. This is a tru sepultura album and in my opinion, their second best! Troops of doom, Necromancer, and Warriors of Death are a must buy. But i recommend buying this whole album!

A true legendary classic!

One of the best early thrash/death metal albums ever!

Unfortunately, a bitter internal crisis almost destroyed the band, and Sepultura struggled to recover their previous momentum. Hailing from Brazil's...
