Great, Phenomenal

The orchestra that played this obviously excelled at it. Water music is one of my favorite classical pieces and i just cant listen to it enough. The violins are beautiful, along with all the horns.

Terrible French Horns

I can't believe that anyone would release a recording where the horns were so painfully out of tune. I couldn't listen to this recording, so I bought the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields shortly after I figured out that this wasn't something I could listen to. The rest of the recording that doesn't include the French Horn is pretty good. It's also fairly complete, which makes it more tolerable. It also lacks the energy of a high-quality recording, so if you want to have something good, buy St. Martin in the Fields. If you need something to make noise in the background, this album is sufficient.

Fun Music

This is really fun music to listen to. It was originally composed to be performed on a river barge for the nobility on the Thames river. How sweet would that be to hear this music live during a river boat party!
